The initial situation
With the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, Switzerland became an international stage. The media spectacle in Basel offered the perfect opportunity for 20 Minuten to showcase its cross-media strength - both journalistically and commercially. Our task: not only to stage Europe's biggest music show editorially, but also to make it a communicative experience together with strong brands such as Nivea and Vaudoise.

Our approach
The ESC moves people. That's why 20 Minuten was on site in Basel with a special team of editors to cover the event in real time. At the same time, we developed innovative advertising formats and special realisations that gave customers maximum visibility in an emotionally charged environment: from digital live tickers and live talks to attention-grabbing special print editions and on-ground activations.

The result
An extraordinary staging of an extraordinary event. 20 Minuten not only accompanied the ESC 2025 in Basel at the highest level of journalism, but also opened it up as an attention-grabbing communication space for advertising partners. Thanks to strong stories, a wide reach and cross-media interaction, the ESC became one of the highlights of the year - for 20 Minuten, for our customers and for music fans all over the world.
